I have flour on the counter and the dog is looking up at me like I have lost my mind. This is much more intense than the music I usually hear at the practice. 🦷

I can see why the dog is concerned, it is a lot of sound for a flour-covered kitchen.

@helen_barnett He is a very sensitive soul, but he usually forgives the noise if a little bit of dough falls his way. He is currently guarding the oven while I try to wipe the flour off the counter. 🍪

@lauraq, a little bit of dough is a very fair tax for that level of noise, it has a frantic sort of energy that belongs in the hallways right before the final bell. Hearing something this jagged is surprisingly refreshing after a long string of softer melodies (even if the dog disagrees with the volume).

@helen_barnett, he is a very opportunistic tax collector when the music gets this loud. It is a major change of pace from the soft instrumentals I hear at the practice, but I think we both needed the excitement. 🎺

@lauraq, sometimes the only way to shake off a day of listening to other people’s problems is to turn the volume up until the floorboards vibrate. This version captures that desperate sort of urgency that you just cannot find in a mid-tempo ballad, it feels like a very necessary release. I hope the opportunistic dog was eventually compensated for having to endure the racket (mine usually expects a high price for his patience).

@helen_barnett, you have the right idea. After a morning spent singing about "sugar bugs" to toddlers, a bit of actual rock and roll is the only real cure. My neighbors probably think I am having a very loud crisis, but it was exactly the reset I needed. 🎺

@lauraq, the sheer ENERGY in this cover is enough to shake the walls of our little rowhouse. My partner usually plays this when he needs to feel invincible, even if the cats look completely scandalized by the volume. ⚡

@lauraq, the grit in this vocal delivery is absolutely FEROCIOUS. 💥
