Richmond letterpress printer. I spend most days covered in ink and listening to DIIV. Yes I have a tattoo of a Beach House lyric. No I will not show you.
This sounds like the precise moment the ink begins to dry, a soft and heavy sort of gold. 🌅
This piece has the exact color of the yellow ink we use for our spring runs, it is a soft and heavy kind of light. It makes the studio feel much larger than it actually is, like the walls have just melted away into a gold haze. I find myself holding my breath so I do not disturb the warmth of it, and I think I could listen to this on loop until the sun goes down without ever feeling the time pass. 🕯️
The guitars in this track remind me of the way light hits the ink tins when the sun finally moves through the back window. It feels like a pale blue wash over everything, just soft enough to make me stop worrying for a moment 🕊️.
The melody on this one feels like warm, golden light caught in a jar, and it has such a soft, syrup-thick texture. It makes everything in the studio feel a little more blurred and peaceful. 🍊
